Meeting up with the McAllisters

Karisa, John, Benson, and newborn baby Cole came to visit us in June, and my parents came to help them visit us. This vacation was John's last hurrah before his residency, so we felt honored that he came. On one of the first days of their trip, we met up at the Boston Common.
Chase waited in eager anticipation for his cousin Benson to come.

The weather was beautiful--something that almost never happens when we have visitors.

Benson and company came to join us at the designated meeting spot, the duck statues.

As it turns out, the two cousins had the same taste in ducks.

But it wasn't anything that a swan boat ride couldn't smooth over. The boys had fun counting turtles. (Three.) We had fun waving to Pop-pop in the John Hancock tower. The only un-lovely thing about this ride was that the boat people restricted the number of passengers who could join us on the ride "because of the weight." Guess that pregnant belly of mine finally started to show (so Ainy can stop heckling me for trying to disguise the bulges!)

We apologize on behalf of Benson for pushing Chase off of the duckling!
