Here's my one and only organ student, Leslie Baker!
I'm so impressed with her. She decided to learn to play the organ during her senior year of high school and she put on her own concert in June. Teaching the organ to Leslie, an experienced pianist, required a lot more thinking and preparation than your typical "let's learn a scale" piano lesson.
She performed on our church's pipe organ, which is placed very conspicuously at the front of the church. It's very intimidating to play on this instrument, but Leslie did an amazing job. She nailed the hardest piece on her program--yesssss!
June was a big month for Caleb, too. He went to his very first Red Sox game with his daddy. He ate ice cream, spilled ice cream, cheered for Youk, sang Sweet Caroline, and jumped on the Moon Bounce (and Caleb did some of those things, too.) Lately, Caleb has been heard cheering, "Let's go Red Sox" under his breath while playing with Legos, despite coming from a 3-generation Yankee family. So much for daddy's brainwashing abilities...

Congratulations on a great organ concert! I heard all about it when we were up visiting. Everyone seemed to especially enjoy the Ave Maria piano/organ duet you played with Leslie. That Noack pipe organ is intimidating to play because it really doesn't play very softly so you have to be confident in your abilities.
